Greetings everyone! In this Blender course, we will be creating a female character with armor and 3D print-ready hair. The entire process is recorded in real-time with constant narration by myself, Niko, a 3D character artist and tutor who has been working in the game industry since 2007. I have over 13,000 students in my courses on 3D character creation and anatomy.

This intermediate course will cover creating a slightly stylized female character, including anatomy tips and common mistakes, making some materials and lights, and rendering an image and turntable video for your portfolio. The concept art for the character is by Mikhail Palamarchuk.

We will begin by creating two female heads to explain proportions, forms, shapes, anatomy, and beginner mistakes. We will then choose the best-looking head and move on to creating the base hair shape. After that, we will work on the torso and explain how shapes work in the female body. Next, we will create legs and arms for our huntress and refine the whole body before moving on to creating the armor. We will use the QuadRemesher add-on for Blender heavily in this course to help make our armor pieces quickly. We will extract, adjust, remesh, and create thickness until we have all the details ready.

We will refine the hair with some smartly placed curves and then move on to material creation. Creating the metal material will not be easy, but we will do our best. After that, we will create the demon huntress weapon, the sword, and the tentacles below it. We will then rig the character with an armature and overcome any issues that arise. Once rigged, we will pose the huntress and make adjustments to the pose, materials, and lights. Finally, we will learn how to render a still image and a transparent video from Blender to use in After Effects.

This course is for intermediate Blender users, but if you are a very ambitious beginner, you can try it as well. However, I recommend watching my Absolute Beginners 3D character in Blender course first before taking this one. I will use the QuadRemesher add-on a lot, which is the only paid add-on I have in Blender. It has a one-month free trial, so you can complete the course with no problem using the trial version and then decide if it is worth the money.

If creating a nice-looking female character with armor, a sword, and a pose in Blender sounds like something you'd be interested in, then this course is definitely worth checking out!
