Greetings, folks! You may be wondering who I am. Well, I'm Lobo, the character we'll be creating entirely in Blender throughout this course. Lobo's a bit crazy, so don't even think about skipping this course or he might get angry! Over the course of 30 hours, we'll be doing real-time sculpting and modeling in Blender to create a fully-rendered model that can be used for either rendering or 3D printing.

Now, you're probably also wondering who your mentor is. That would be Niko, a 3D character artist and educator with over 15 years of experience in the game industry. He has more than 20,000 students enrolled in his online courses for 3D character creation and human anatomy, as well as a YouTube channel with over 50,000 subscribers. The fantastic concept for this character was created by the incredible artist Dario Jelušić.

We'll begin the course by gathering references and analyzing the concept before moving on to modeling the head, teeth, and tongue. Then, we'll move on to modeling the body, arms, and legs, during which I'll talk about the anatomy and shapes of those body parts. Next, we'll create the basic shape of Lobo's dog and continue with his clothes, including his belt, jacket, vest, and pants. We'll then move on to hardsurface modeling, where we'll create the grenade and weapon. After that, we'll tackle all kinds of elements that Lobo has on himself, including knee armor, shoelaces, and other accessories. There will be a mix of modeling and sculpting involved. I'll even get the pleasure of sculpting one of the skulls on his belt, as well as creating the Batman mask, Wonder Woman tiara, and Flash helmet. I just love sculpting skulls!

We'll also create some chains, including the dog chain, neck chain, and arm chain. Throughout the course, I'll discuss how to model these features to be 3D printer-friendly by paying attention to the details and making sure the elements are thick enough.

As we work through the course and detail and finish Lobo, we'll rig his arms and hands and create the pose from the concept. We'll do some additional cleaning and adjustments until we're satisfied with the final product. Finally, we'll create an interesting render with the help of Photoshop and a turntable in Blender.

This course is designed for intermediate Blender users, and although I'll walk you through almost every step, I recommend taking my Absolute Beginners 3D Character in Blender course first if you're a beginner. So, if you like this crazy and wild-looking character and want to see the entire process of creating it and even create it yourself, I suggest checking out this course!
