How do I import brushes into ZBrush?
One of the ZBrush basics we have to know, is that there is not a unique way to import a brush, in fact, in ZBrush it is normal to have the same option on different menus.
Now we will show you the most common ways to start working with your new brushes. First of all we must know that even it is an IMM brush, VDM brush or Multi-Alpha brush, the file extension would be .ZBP.
- In Windows, navigate to the folder where your new brush is located, double click on it, this should import the brush on ZBrush.
- The second method is inside ZBrush, just go to the top of the screen and look for the Brush dropdown menu. Click on "Load Brush", then navigate where your brush is located and double click to import it.
- Another way to do it is by on the left bar of ZBrush where by default you can find multiple boxes, select the first one wich will open the brush palette. This will open a box with all the brushes available. There is a button called "Load Brush" at the bottom left of the window. Same here, navigate where your brush is located and double click to import it.
How to load a brush when ZBrush starts by default
